Big Tuesday For Ups And Downs

Tuesday will be a big night to resolve a number of the promotion and relegation issues.

Rochdale can confirm their promotion to League One, for the first time in more than 30 years, with a win over Darlington. Anything but a Quakers win in the same game will guarantee their relegation to the Conference after 20 years back in the League.

Notts County will become a virtual certainty to join Rochdale in promotion with a win over Lincoln, but they will need two of Aldershot, Rotherham, and Chesterfield to fail to gain all three points to mathematically assure a League One return despite holding at least a +37 goal difference on each of those three sides.

Coming up from the Conference, both Oxford and Luton have home games on Tuesday with Stevenage playing on Wednesday. Stevenage can gain promotion with a win if Luton lose and Oxford fail to win. York can guarantee the last play-off spot by taking a point in their match with Barrow, or if Crawley fail to beat Forest Green.

In League One's relegation fight nothing will be settled on Tuesday, although a defeat for Wycombe at Tranmere will leave them with an eight point gap to close with just four games left.
