News Round Up

Bradford have released brothers Michael and Rory Boulding after the pair agreed terminations on their contracts. 34 year old Michael was more often a sub than a starter but scored six times this term, while 23 year old Rory made only two sub appearances this term and one start last season for the club. Chesterfield have loaned midfielder Paul Harsley to York for the rest of the season. He hasn't played for the Spireites since September.

Rochdale defender Craig Dawson has been named League Two player of the year at the Football League Awards. He placed 43rd in the top 50 FL players, with Notts County's Lee Hughes and Bournemouth forward Brett Pitman also making the 50. 19 year old Dawson is being touted for a £1million summer move to the Premier League. In other League Two awards Shrewsbury were named family club of the year and Rotherham won best programme.

Stockport bidder Jim Melrose failed to issue the promised statement yesterday, but Administrator Leonard Curtis told supporters on Saturday that they now doubt the bid will continue after being continually knocked back by the FL. Ex-Bull Josh Gowling is one of fifteen players out of contract at Gillingham in the summer. He is currently injured and out of favour after losing his starting berth to Darren Dennehy.
