Weymouth have released four players for financial reasons. The quartet all turned down reduced terms to remain with the club as they struggle under their debt pile. Portsmouth fans plan to play at Havant and Waterlooville if the club is liquidated. They plan to raise the capacity to 6,500 and try to enter the Conference if they are not able to play at Fratton Park with a reformed club.

Cheltenham have released striker Elvis Hammond by mutual consent. The injury plagued ex-Leicester man scored ten goals in 49 appearances but started only half the games he was at the club for. Bournemouth keeper Shwan Jalal has signed a new two year deal with the club. Rotherham have failed in a bid to bring Carlisle striker Richard Offiong to the club on loan.

Darlington chairman Raj Singh has backed manager Steve Staunton after they lost their fifth straight game at the weekend. Staunton is due to sign his 23rd player in his five months in charge with the arrival of Whitley Bay winger Chris Moore. Moore would be the 51st player used by the Quakers this season if he plays. Frickley are following Bury in offering cheap admission to other club's season ticket holders. They offer £1 entry to Friday's match with Ossett Town.

Ex-Bull Bradley Hudsoi-Odoi is one of six player that will not play for Histon until they resolve their futures with the club. All six have been offered reduced terms for next season as the club tries to become financially viable. Southend have sacked assistant boss Paul Brush after they dropped into the League One relegation zone at the weekend.
