This evening's home fixture at Edgar Street is a must win match for Hereford United and especially for manager John Trewick for whom little is going right at present.
Trewick will have to choose his starting eleven out of 19, perhaps 20 if Richard Rose is fit, players and with both Jamie Tolley and Ryan Valentine not available, some shuffling of the pack will be required.
It's possible youngster Tyler Weir could have his second start for the Bulls at left back whilst young loanee Paul Downing is always certain to feature at some point.
Mathieu Manset may be preferred to Leon Constantine in attack and Craig King could be recalled to the starting eleven in place of loanee Lateef Elford-Alliyu.
Trewick appears hopeful that with five home matches in the next six the Bulls can pull away from the bottom end of the League Two table.
"We are not where we want to be in the league and our form of late hasn’t been great but we have got a big differential between 11 home games and 14 away fixtures," he said.
"We have five out of the next six matches at home, which gives us a chance to get some points on the board."
Meanwhile Lincoln's Paul Green says he would have preferred to have travelled to Herefordshire yesterday.
"It is a long journey to do for a midweek game, but we have to start better than we did against Burton last Wednesday," said Green as reported by the Lincolnshire Echo.
"We did not play too badly there, but there was a lack of concentration in the first minute that cost us.
"We can't do that tonight and the lads will be keeping themselves occupied by sitting with their i-Pods on, have a chat and have a game or two of poker.
"Scotty Kerr and Rob Burch are especially good at cards, and I reckon it would be even between those two in terms of the biggest hustler.
"But looking at the bigger picture, I would have preferred to go overnight, but as soon as we get off that coach we'll do a warm up and get ready for the game.
"They are down near the bottom and it is going to be a real scrap and a tough game.
"But hopefully we will come away with the three points."
