Turner pleased with Early Postponement

Hereford United chairman, Graham Turner, has told BBC Hereford and Worcester that the postponement of tomorrow's League Two game against Morecambe 'was the best decision for everyone involved'.

The decision, taken around mid-day, was made in good time to prevent Morecambe setting out for Hereford which they had planned for this afternoon.

"What we had was a saturated pitch, then the real cold snap came in and the pitch froze," said Turner.

"Subsequently the snow arrived on top and it's kept that frost in there.

"I know the forecast is for rising temperatures but it's also forecast that there's going to be heavy rain.

"Our concern now is making sure we play against Crewe next Tuesday."

The Morecambe game will now be played on a Tuesday evening, possibly on March 16th.
