Hereford United are hoping that the thaw will enable their home match against Morecambe to go ahead on Saturday.
The club says that there are four inches of snow on the Edgar Street pitch at present.
It may be that they will ask supporters for help in clearing the snow tomorrow morning.
As at 1pm temperatures around Hereford are reported to be close to 2C.
