We can Manage says Trewick

Hereford United manager John Trewick's views about the current crop of postponed matches has been reported by Sporting Life.

"I think a lot of clubs would be looking at the games that have been called off and thinking 'we could have done with the income'. We're okay to ride out this little period where that matchday income isn't coming in.

"But we can't go on forever without the money from the gate and if Saturday's match is called off then that will be a fourth home game out of the five which we've had postponed. So the income we would have received has been badly knocked but, as I say, we've got enough to get through this period although, the same as most clubs at this level, it's not easy.

"It has a knock-on effect financially as well. Crowds aren't likely to turn up in such big numbers (for rearranged midweek fixtures) because with the current economic situation people are picking and choosing when they can come to their football matches."
