Notts County were sold for £1 according to various national press reports. The club is understood to be in need of a substantial financial injection to cover the wage bill with the press reporting that a substantial sum is already owed to local suppliers with the Munto charade finally over. Unless new owner Peter Trembling can find substantial investment in the next few weeks there is likely to be a January fire sale to try and balance the finances after recent gates fell back towards last season's levels.
Rochdale boss Keith Hill says his January priority is to sign Chris O'Grady to a longer deal. The on-loan Oldham man has scored nine in 20 games, but is due to return to Boundary Park in January. Histon have released three more players due to their financial constraints. Jamie Barker, John Kennedy and Craig Pope have all left the club after agreeing settlements on the remainder of their contracts. Of the three, only defender Pope was not a first team regular.
Chesterfield have extended the loan of Crystal Palace winger Keiran Djilali until January 9th. He played six times, scoring once, in his original month on loan. Huddersfield have reported that some 1,600 season ticket holders did not bother to watch their home game with Gillingham on Saturday. The reported gate of 13,844 actually had just 11,212 in the ground, but the higher number was the number of valid tickets sold for the game.
Stockport's Administrator has issued a statement saying that they have spoken to several other parties other than the Jim Melrose consortium in an effort to sell the club. They say that the requirements of the landlord of the stadium are also hindering a sale, and that Football League revenue is being withheld meaning that further player departures cannot be ruled out.
Grimsby have extended the loan of Plymouth man Damien McCrory for a second month.
