Crossley to Referee Trophy Tie

Phil Crossley is set to referee tomorrow evening's Johnstones Paint Trophy Southern Section Semi-final tie between Hereford United and MK Dons.

The Kent based referee was the man in the middle at Edgar Street early this year when the Bulls were defeated 1-0 by Peterborough. No Hereford player was booked that afternoon.

To date this season he has officiated 17 times and given out 63 yellow and 5 red cards.

Crossley is the referee who was badly hurt at Derby in May 2007 and missed nearly all the following season.

The match, against Leeds, was held up when Crossley injured his back during a collision with Derby captain Seth Johnson and was stretchered from the field by paramedics.
