Week Off for Bulls

Hereford United do not have a fixture this week until next Saturday when the Bulls travel to Burton.

The break will given players such as Ryan Green a chance to recover from various injuries. Yesterday, late in the game at Barnet, Green had to be substituted after he had a dead leg. He was replaced by Richard Rose.

Manager John Trewick was hopeful Green would be fit for the game at Burton. He also said he had watched Burton playing Oxford last Sunday.

Meanwhile both Trewick and captain Adam Bartlett gave their views to BBC Hereford and Worcester about the Paint Trophy Draw which gave the Bulls a home tie against MK Dons probably on December 15th.

"Very pleased. I don't think it could have been a better draw to be honest," Trewick told BBC H&W.

"On a Tuesday night - we wouldn't have wanted to go away to Norwich or Southampton because we have a game on the Friday night.

"So a home game against MK Dons suits us fine. We're looking forward to it."

Bartlett's reaction was similar when he spoke to the station.

"We've happy with that because we just wanted to come out of the draw with a home tie.

"We always fancy our chances at home. We've been good at Edgar Street this season.

"It's going to be a difficult tie because they are league one and doing well themselves but out of the three clubs we could have drawn - they are all on form at the moment - we've got MK Dons and we look forward to that tie."

For the record MK Dons were defeated 5-1 at Charlton yesterday. Last August the Bulls defeated Charlton 1-0 in the first round of the Carling Cup with a goal by Jony Godsmark.
