Hereford United manager John Trewick changed the formation for the game at Barnet this afternoon and was delighted with how it worked. The Bulls kept a clean sheet in an away match for the first time for over a year.
"Barnet have got an excellent home record and that's probably why where they are in the league. They have got some dangerous players, particularily in wide areas," Trewick told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"We felt we had to do a certain job on certain players in order to establish a good place to be and then take our game to them.
"I don't think it was negative in any way. I just thought it was the best way to go about it.
"I'm a little bit disappointed not to come away with three points as I thought we dominated the game for long periods.
"We just needed to finish them off but on the day we couldn't.
"If we do play that way again all we need is to score a goal to make it perfect."
Trewick thought the Bulls' disallowed goal should have stood and McCallum might have had a penalty when he was tripped.
"I'm not sure whether that goal - from where I was stood it looked legitimate to me. It will be interesting to see the DVD.
"Nobody seemed to appeal too much. We try not to get in referee's faces as a team but why would he go down if he wasn't tripped.
"Again I'll have a look at the DVD - the referee is there and the linesman on the far side ideally placed."
