Kettering Sign Ashikodi

After trials at a string of clubs over the summer, including Portsmouth, ex-Bull Moses Ashikodi has signed for Conference side Kettering.

Owner Imran Ladaak told the press: "We have been interested in him before but it's only now that we have been able to make the deal happen. He has played for some big clubs and also played in an Old Firm game when he was with Rangers.

"There is no doubt about his ability. It's all about trying to get the best out of him. If he comes here and performs to his best then there's a chance he might not be here that long because he is capable of playing at a higher level. We are very pleased that he has agreed to come."

Ashikodi played just eight times for the Bulls after joining on a six month loan from Watford at the start of last season, spending the majority of the time on the injury list. He was released by Watford after returning to Vicarage Road, and had a brief spell with Shrewsbury that ended shortly after their play-off final failure in May.
