Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman is to walk from Accrington to Rochdale on the morning of their match at Spotland which is on October 24th.
The club still need to raise a substantial amount of money to fend off possible closure by the Revenue and Customs and Coleman will join other Stanley supporters on a sponsored walk.
Last week all the gate money from a friendly at Burnley was given to Accrington and last Friday evening the club had their best gate for sometime when 3,228 passed through the turnstiles.
Meanwhile on the pitch Coleman has guided his side to three wins in a row. Their next game is at Edgar Street on Saturday.
