Bulls Win!

The Bulls recorded their first win of the season with a comfortable 2-0 win over Accrington today.

Accrington were predictably shocking, and the Bulls would have been deep in trouble if they had failed to outclass the worst footballing side in the division. An early gift for debutant Craig King, latching onto a weak clearance to fire into an empty net shot, was added to by a Ryan Valentine header midway through the second half.

Marc Pugh's missed penalty didn't matter in the end, and the sight of Tristan Plummer throwing his shirt into the Meadow End at the end of the game suggests his spell with the club is at an end. A predictably low 2,013 - with 85 trainee linesmen from Accrington - watched the game.

Full report later.
