News Round Up

The four players banned for betting on the Accrington-Bury match are all expected to appeal their decisions. The FA says that Peter Cavanagh, the last of the four to be banned and fined heavily for a £5 bet, received a stiff punishment as he was Accrington's club captain. Accrington have removed striker Paul Mullin from the transfer list at his request. Crewe have signed Aman Verma on loan from Leicester. The midfielder signs for three months.

Stockport, who remain in Administration, have sold young pro Josh Thompson and two members of their youth side to Celtic. The Administrators say it is to cover ongoing losses, with Administration likely to continue for another six weeks while the prospective owners resolve issues over their Edgeley Park home. Mansfield say they will leave Field Mill if they fail to agree a purchase on the ground before the lease expires.

Chester have received the backing of all their Conference rivals to stay in the division. The vote was on whether to kick the club out or allow them to proceed on -25 points, but they have been forced to cancel tomorrow's scheduled home match with Gateshead as the FA are not meeting until Thursday to discuss their membership. Rotherham have completed the signing of Rochdale striker Adam Le Fondre on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Dagenham have received an initial £45,000 for the services of defender Magnus Okuonghae from the transfer tribunal. The amount Colchester will have to pay may rise to £80,000 depending on appearance and promotion clauses. Burton have signed Birmingham keeper Artur Krysiak on loan for a month with veteran Kevin Poole struggling with injury.
