Notts County have spent £1.5million to make Man City keeper Kasper Schmeichel their most expensive signing ever.
The Magpies have splashed out the annual turnover of Accrington on the 22 year old, who has experience of League Two during loan spells at Bury and Darlington in 2006 which included a trip to Edgar Street. On that day in September 2006 he had little to do bar pick the ball out of the net as the Bulls won 1-0.
Their previous most expensive signing was former Bull Tony Agana, who joined the club for £750,000 in 1991. He left the Magpies for the Bulls in 1997 after just 23 goals in 182 games.
In other transfer news, Tuesday's opponents Bury have signed striker Jordan Robertson on loan from Sheff Utd for a month. He has had limited matches for the Blades, but has played in the Championship on loan with Southampton, and the SPL with Dundee Utd. He has also played at Edgar Street, for Torquay, in December 2006.
