News Round Up

Notts County assistant boss Dave Kevan has turned down the same role at Crewe. Grimsby have confirmed receiving a second bid from Peterboro for defender Ryan Bennett, but their Chairman will not deal with it until he returns from the League AGM. Bournemouth's new owner is claimed to be a wide-ranging consortium featuring former owners Jeff Mostyn and Steve Sly, previous failed bidder Adam Murry, and Dorchester chairman Eddie Mitchell. They all had individual bids for the club fail previously.

Rotherham have beaten Bradford in the chase for Sheff Utd midfielder Nicky Law, son of the ex-Bull of the same name. He has signed a two year deal after 45 games on loan at the Bantams over the last two seasons. Bradford have confirmed the signing of Rochdale full back Simon Ramsden on a one year deal. Ex-Bull Bertrand Cozic has signed a new one year deal at Exeter.

Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish has spoken about his two wanted players, Michael Gash and Darius Charles. Both are subject to cash bids, with the manager saying: 'We've got to realise that they are taking up close to 50 per cent of the weekly budget.' The club's weekly budget is claimed to be around £4,000. Luton have sold 3,400 season tickets already for their first Conference season.

Accrington fans will launch a bid to buy the club next week. Led by Ilyas Khan, and supported by cricket commentator David Lloyd, will offer to invest a minimum £250,000 into the club - but they face competition for the club after it was confirmed the previously announced takeover was back on track with General Manager Dave O'Neill hoping to complete a purchase soon.

Stockport's Administrator has issued a statement confirming the bid headed by Jim Melrose has been accepted. The brief statement says the bid is subject to the ground landlord agreeing to the deal, with rumours of a move away from Edgeley Park apparently unfounded.
