News Round Up

Stockport's final home match of the season will go ahead in front of fans after the co-tenants of Edgeley Park, Sale Sharks, paid off the Hatters' Police bill. The game, on Friday, would have had to be played behind closed doors otherwise with the club having no funds to meet the demand. The club's heirarchy are to face supporters on Thursday to answer questions at another fans forum.

Bournemouth's owner has appointed the Chairman and Company Secretary of their Supporters Trust to oversee the day to day running of the club, effectively removing prospective bidder Adam Murry from control. The new pair will assess the club's current predicament and issue a report on the finances to be offered to any new bidders. The move comes after Murry countered Baker's claims over his constant diminishing bids using the club's official website.

Barnet have given manager Ian Hendon a two year contract after he confirmed their League Two survival. Tamworth have secured promotion back to the Conference with a 1-0 win over Hinckley. Danny Carey-Bertram scored twice as Telford beat Burscough 3-0 to guarantee a play-off place as they seek to join the Lambs. AFC Wimbledon will also get into the Conference on Saturday with a point, though even a heavy defeat will still see them promoted with a strong goal-difference.
