Results Round Up

Cheltenham, still 13 points short of safety, beat Hartlepool 2-0 to keep the monkey hangers in danger of the drop. Brighton beat Yeovil 5-0 to give their fans some hope, but they don't move any higher in the table. Swindon lost 1-0 at Leeds to remain in the bottom four. Northampton are down to 19th, level with the Robins, after losing 1-0 at Peterboro with Crewe moving up after winning by the same scoreline at Colchester. Leyton Orient join Carlisle on 42 points after they beat Stockport 1-0 while the Cumbrians drew 1-1 with Scunthorpe.

At the top Leicester beat Millwall 1-0, needing 13 more points as it stands to confirm promotion. MK Dons kept up pressure on Peterboro for the second spot with a 6-2 demolition of troubled Oldham, who slip to eighth. Tranmere are into the play-offs after beating Huddersfield 3-1 while result of the day goes to Bristol Rovers, who move into the top half after winning at Walsall 5-0.

In League Two Brentford's 3-3 draw with second placed Wycombe means their lead remains seven points. Shrewsbury are back in the play-offs after a 2-2 draw with Gillingham. Chester and Grimsby drew 1-1 in their tussle at the bottom, with Bournemouth leaving both behind after their 2-0 win at Macclesfield. Luton, who are 15 points from safety, lost 2-1 at Aldershot.

In the Conference Burton lost 2-1 at home to Salisbury to continue their jitters during the long run in. Cambridge beat Northwich 4-1 to cut the gap to five points, but have played two games more. Forest Green lost 3-0 at Mansfield to be one of six sides seperated by three points towards the bottom, while Kidderminster inflicted another defeat on Lewes, 1-0, to move within four points of the play-offs.
