Their £27,000 a month rent payments have been cut to £15,000 - but they will have to make up the difference 'when they can'. Late payment charges and interest has been frozen on outstanding sums. This morning the club were given 28 days to settle a winding up order over an unpaid £38,000 debt. Hartlepool have rejected a £5,000 bid from Gateshead for reserve striker Michael Mackay.
Chester owner Stephen Vaughan has told manager Mark Wright that no new players will come into the club this week. They face having just nine professionals fit for Saturday's match. Crewe have been blamed for last night's late cancellation of their game with Bristol Rovers.
