Bulls train in the Snow

Hereford United trained in the snow this morning even though according to manager Graham Turner it was four inches thick at Edgar Street

“We had a little game this morning,” Graham Turner told the Worcester News.

“It isn’t ideal preparation playing in four inches of snow, but it was good for the lads to get a bit of fresh air and exercise.

“Our pitch at Edgar Street is under snow and the forecast is not good.

“If there is any more snow, then the game is in serious doubt but, should there be any sort of thaw, then we have got half-a-chance.”

Much of the lying snow around Hereford started to melt this afternoon. Any problem with the Edgar Street ground is expected to be from frost.

Meanwhile Turner revealed that his new goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi, who trained with the Bulls for the first time this morning, will be jetting off to Hungary on Sunday for an under-20 international.

“It’s not an ideal situation, we would have liked Peter to have stayed with us, but he’s settled in pretty well,” said Turner.

The Hereford United manager also spoke about his other new loan signing Febian Brandy.

“He offers a lot of pace which is something that we have been lacking since we lost Lionel Ainsworth last month,” said Turner.
