Windass praises Ainsworth

Playing at Hereford last Saturday Dean Windass was on the wrong end of a 5-0 hammering, and he was reminded of the fact when guesting on the Big League Weekend earlier this evening on Sky Sports.

"We had a bad weekend," said Windass. "If you don't play well anybody can beat anybody else."

With the pictures of the game being shown at the same time Windass said he was enjoying playing again.

"Let's hope we can bounce back. It was a bad day at the office."

The presenter: "This boy Lionel Ainsworth, on loan from Watford, he was outstanding."

Windass: "He tortured our young left back. He had pace in abundance."
