Preview: Walsall vs Bulls

The Bulls travel to the Bescot Stadium on Saturday for another League One match.

It will be their first trip to Walsall in two season, and the Bulls will be hoping to record their first win at the club. Of 24 matches so far all four Bulls wins have come at Edgar Street. The last trip to the Bescot saw Dean Beckwith sent off for supposedly pulling down future Bull Trevor Benjamin, with the ten man Bulls losing by a single goal scored four minutes after.

The Saddlers will be on their third manager in as many games with Chris Hutchings now installed as boss. His first task will be to address the goalscoring problems that have seen just four goals - and only one win - in the last six games. Their last goalscorer, winger Marco Reich, has left the club after they couldn't afford to extend his contract. Former Bulls loanee Chris Palmer is a doubt after receiving a gashed leg after 20 minutes of their last match and they may end up giving a full debut to his replacement, 17 year old Sam Adkins.

The Bulls turned the table on it's head in thrashing Oldham. Some would say it had been coming for some time, with one or two sides spared thanks to previous wayward finishing. Steve Guinan's nine goals this season is one short of his Football League best haul at Cheltenham in 05/06, when he played 17 games more.

Walsall vs Hereford United, Bescot Stadium, Saturday 24th January, 3.00pm.
