Keith Downing has left Cheltenham Town 'by mutual consent' after their 4-1 loss to Hartlepool last night.
The former Bulls coach had been in charge for 11 months after John Ward departed for Carlisle, rejecting the chance to follow Ward to Brunton Park to continue as his assistant. He won only 14 of 49 games in charge, leaving the club rock bottom of League One after a string of heavy defeats.
