News Round Up

Chester's dressing room is split - according to new boss Simon Davies. He told the PFA website that his team was arguing amongst themselves in the dressing room at Barnet: "At the moment the way they are going it looks ominous unless they start sticking together."

Bradford's ambitious plans to hand free season tickets to 9,000 people are in doubt after a poor start to the scheme. The club have sold 'only' 2,200 season tickets for next season so far, with fans blaming uninspiring performances for the lack of take up. Grays have lodged an appeal against the FA demands to pay £14,000 to a jailed player. The appeal means the sum does not have to be paid until the appeal is heard.

Halifax will complete the season after a consortium agreed to fund the club through the remainder of the current campaign. Confusingly, the head of the consortium is named by the Yorkshire Post as Ray Moreland - the man who brought about their Administration with a winding up order for an £8,000 debt, although other press reports do not associate him with the consortium.

Chesterfield have extended the loan of Lloyd Kerry from Sheff Utd until the end of the season. Darlington assistant boss Martin Gray has signed a new deal at the club until 2011. Liverpool fans are to form their own breakaway club after becoming disillusioned at the cost of watching the Reds. They plan to follow FC United of Manchester into the North West Counties League next season.

Mansfield have called a fans forum for Thursday in an attempt to find the funding for the twice-failed takeover attempt. They are around £250,000 short of the funds needed to complete the takeover. The Stags are to keep Paul Holland in charge of the club for another two games, with former Lincoln boss John Schofield named in the press as another front runner.

Wycombe will be without midfielder Matt Bloomfield for the rest of the season after having a cruciate knee injury confirmed. Cheltenham are to seek talks with Bristol Rovers over press reports claiming the Pirates are to reopen talks with Swindon over groundsharing next season. The Robins agreed last summer to share their Whaddon Road ground with Rovers while their Memorial Ground home is rebuilt.
