This morning the FA will announce a new initative called The FA National Game Strategy 2008-2012 the main aims of which are to encourage more people to be involved in football and to ensure football is played, watched and enjoyed in a safe, positive environment.
There is expected to be more money for the Football Foundation which can help clubs upgrade their stadiums. Whether some of this extra money could be used by Hereford United to improve Edgar Street remains to be seen.
UPDATE: It looks as though most of the 'new' money will be for the lower tiers of the football ladder.
