MK Dons' single goal victory over Chester is enough to keep them a single point above Peterboro at the top. The Posh beat Bury 1-0, a scoreline sufficient in half the games today. Darlington are third after a 3-1 win over Brentford. Rotherham and Wycombe both stay in the play-offs despite losing by the single goal to Accrington and Lincoln respectively.
Down the bottom, Mansfield and Wrexham had a point each as their basement clash ended 1-1. A point was fairly useless in the end as nearest target Macclesfield also drew 1-1 with Notts County. The Magpies are only four points clear of 23rd placed Mansfield having played a game more.
In other games, Barnet virtually handed Gary Peters his P45 after stuffing Shrewsbury 4-1. The Bees had previously scored only one goal in five straight losses, while the Shrews record is just six points from thirty six. Grimsbly beat Morecambe 4-0, and Chesterfield beat Rochdale 1-0 in the battle of the faltering play-off claims. The Spireites stay within two points of Stockport, while Rochdale are six points adrift but with up to three games in hand on their rivals.
