There's little doubt that Rochdale Football Club are trying hard to attract more people to Spotland.
The club says that it is important to catch young fans early so one idea they've introduced is to invite a different school to select ball boys or girls for each home game.
They report that the response has been 'superb'.
Meanwhile the state of limbo continues at Mansfield where a takeover deal failed to be finalised last Friday.
"At the moment the club is in limbo, we do not know where we are going right now or what is happening. There is no leadership at the club. It helps me as the manager to know who I have got to go to to talk about things," manager Billy Dearden told the Chad newspaper.
