In his post match comments, Graham Turner told Richard Prime that: "It was a calm performance.
"We are not getting rattled as much as we were earlier on. I thought it was very controlled although I was disappointed with the way we defended on several occasions. To concede the two goals was annoying but we looked like scoring every time we went forward.
"Our play on the ball was good, but we should have scored more than the four so I can look in the two penalty areas and say that is where we were found wanting. That's probably being a bit hard on the players, though. Overall, to come here and win, against a good side - a side like ourselves who try to pass it - was a testimony to the way the lads can play and the way we are improving again."
Turner also acknowledged the performance of Sherjill Macdonald, and the Rochdale crowd's reaction: "It was an outstanding thing that the Rochdale supporters actually applauded him off the pitch. I have never known the home supporters applaud a visiting player off the pitch like I have seen today. I thought it was a smashing gesture."
But it wasn't all good news from Spotland, with injuries to Ben Smith and Toumani Diagouraga: "Ben Smith tweaked a groin in the warm-up and Toumani had to come off with a groin injury so that wsa a severe blow losing those two. They have both been doing very well over recent matches but I though Kris Taylor had an outstanding game when forced to play and young Sam Gwynne did ok."
The interview ended with Turner purring over his arsenal of forwards: "We have the weapon of pace which is priceless. There are not many defenders who could live with the sort of pace we have up front at the moment with Sherjill MacDonald and Gary Hooper, but we still have Theo Robinson who has had a very good season with his terrific pace. We also have the strength of Trevor Benjamin, and Steve Guinan to come back so all-in-all it is looking very good."
