News Round Up

Chesterfield have released midfielder Gareth Davies. The former trainee has made only one sub appearance for the club this season after five years as a pro. MK Dons have extended the loan of Jordan Hadfield from Macclesfield until the end of the season.

A number of League Two games face pitch inspections before Saturday's kick-offs. Darlington's trip to Mansfield, Bradford's trip to Rochdale, and Lincoln's trip to Macclesfield are all in doubt with heavy rain expected throughout Friday. Cambridge United have signed Rushden's ex-Chester defender Wayne Hatswell for an undisclosed fee.

Crewe have confirmed that they have had a bid rejected for an unnamed League Two striker, believed to be Bury's Andy Bishop. The former York striker is believed to be interesting several Championship clubs. Ex-Bull Scott Tynan has signed an 18 month contract at Northwich.

Mansfield have issued instructions banning children under 4 from the ground, and that no under 12's will be admitted without an adult. Wrexham have signed Tranmere defender Carl Tremarco on a free transfer until the end of the season and taken Jeff Whitley on non-contract terms. The Dragons have signed eight players so far in the transfer window.

Accrington have signed defender Phil Doughty on a months loan from Blackpool. He had previously been on loan at Macclesfield, but rejected the chance to stay there longer.
