News Round Up

Peterboro have cancelled the contract of midfielder Peter Gain, with Dagenham and Mansfield tussling over the player, and loaned goalkeeper Mark Tyler to Hull City. Wrexham have cancelled the contract of striker Juan Ugarte by mutual consent after the player admitted defeat in his injury battle.

Darlington have appointed former keeper Andy Collett as their new full time goalkeeping coach. He will be responsible for coaching the 13 keepers at the club, from the first team to the schoolboys. Brentford have loaned Watford defender Jordan Parkes for a month. He is an England u-19 international. They will also add Gillingham's teenage midfielder Craig Stone on loan tomorrow.

Shrewsbury are looking for a sponsor for their new stadium. The club do not want the ground, commonly known as The New Meadow, associated with their former home. Halifax council have submitted plans to redevelop the East Stand at the Shay to hold 3,500 seated spectators. The stand would also house a Gym, Changing Rooms, Bar, Cafe, and 'community space'.

Accrington are to loan striker Lee McEvilly to Cambridge until the end of the season. McEvilly is blamed by many Accrington fans for dressing room unrest at the Fraser Eagle stadium. Darlington pair Andy Oakes and Pawel Abbott will undergo surgery on long term injuries this week. Goalkeeper Oakes is not expected back this season, while striker Abbott will miss a month for knee surgery.
