Johnson Looks Forward To Cardiff

Simon Johnson spoke to the South Wales Echo about coming up against a couple of his former Leeds colleagues in the FA Cup against Cardiff:

Johnson played with Cardiff captain Stephen McPhail at Leeds, and is happy to see him again: "Macca's a few years older than me, but we played together at Leeds. I was pretty young, but we got on well – and it will be good to see him again.

"Peter Ridsdale was chairman of Leeds at the time, but I can't say I know him that well. It's a chance for another FA Cup shock – and who knows what we might achieve. Cardiff will have players like Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, McPhail and Joe Ledley, but we will give it everything we have.

"We'll see what happens from there."

One player who is likely to miss the game is Cardiff striker Robbie Fowler. His hip injury, which required a trip to the US for surgery, is worse than originally thought and he may not play again this season.
