The Bulls travel to Bury on Saturday to face the Gigg Lane outfit who find themselves in mid-table following an inconsistent first half of the campaign which has seen them beat promotion chasing Peterborough yet lose at home to floundering Wrexham. United, on the other hand, are unbeaten since the October reverse against MK Dons and will be looking to extend their impressive form. The corresponding fixture last season produced a 2-2 draw after The Shakers had opened up a two-goal lead. Steve Guinan's deflected goal preceded a point winning piledriver from Andy Williams who had that morning declined a transfer window move to Bristol Rovers. Exactly 200 Bulls fans were reported to have made the Tuesday evening trip last season so an improved following is expected for this Saturday afternoon fixture.

Le Stade de Gigg is now an all-seater venue with a capacity of just over 11,500 and visiting fans are accommodated in the Bridge Group West Stand and The Surridge Sports Stand. Admission is £14 for adults, £10 for young persons (16-21, ID required) and £7 for concessions (U16's and Over 62's). The usual football ground refreshments are available. There are plenty of Pubs close to the ground. The Cemetery, which is a ten-minute walk south of the ground in Manchester Road, is worth a visit. This is a Thwaites pub that also does a decent bite to eat. The Pack Horse Hotel, which usually welcomes visiting fans, can also be found in Manchester Road just north of the Gigg Lane turning. The local 'Spoons is The Robert Peel in Market Place.

By car, leave the M6 at J21A (sign Leeds, Bolton, Manchester) and join the M62. Leave the M62 at J12 and join the M60 - keep left onto the M60 (sign Ring Road N, Leeds M62). Street Parking looks the order of the day. Distance about 150 miles (allow three hours at least). Postcode BL9 9HR
