In an article published in the Times, Ronnie Radford is named as the Bulls' greatest player. Three more ex-Bulls feature on the list with Neil Grayson (Cheltenham), Steve Bull (Wolves), and Eric Redrobe (Southport) also named.

Rushden boss Garry Hill has been fined £1,500 by the courts after admitting a charge of common assault. The higher charge of ABH was reduced before the trial, with Hill also paying £1,000 in compensation to Salisbury assistant boss Tommy Widdrington.

Chester are looking at a £350,000 windfall with the news that former striker Jon Walters is being lined up for a £2million Premiership move from Ipswich, with Chester holding a 20% sell on clause. Grimsby have extended the loan of Doncaster defender Sam Hird for a second month.

Notts County are to resurrect their Centre of Excellence, 18 months after it was scrapped. The scheme was a victim of cost cutting at the club that was losing £10,000 a week. It will restart for next season working with 9-16 year olds with a team re-entered into the Puma Youth Alliance the following season.

Loan midfielder Nicky Law has rejected the offer of a third month on loan at Bradford to return to Sheff Utd. Brentford have extended the loan of Plymouth defender Ryan Dickson for a second month, and given free agent former Wales defender David Partridge a one month contract. The 29 year old was released by Bristol City in the summer.
