Former Bulls striker Alan Connell has spoken of his disappointment at seeing Terry Butcher being shown the door at Brentford.
Connell scored twice at the weekend to end a 586 minute goalless spell for the Bees. They were Connell's first goals in 13 games and had the striker telling the press: "The goals had been a long time coming, but I always felt they weren't far away. I am just sorry they didn't come when Terry Butcher was still in charge.
"It was a massive disappointment when Terry left because all the players got on really well with him and tried their best for him. I feel we weren't very far away from putting a few good results together."
Connell signed a two year deal when he left Edgar Street for Griffin Park at the start of July. He scored ten times in fifty appearances for the Bulls, with four goals in nineteen for the Bees this term.
Meanwhile, triallist Shawn Beveney scored the only goal of the game for current side Dulwich Hamlet as they beat Horsham YMCA at the weekend.
