The Bulls entertain Morecambe for the first time with both sides as League clubs, with the Bulls looking for a double against the Shrimps.
Back in September a 3-0 win a Christie Park cemented early good form by the Bulls, with late goals from Trevor Benjamin, Lionel Ainsworth, and Luke Webb making the result look more comprehensive that it really was. Morecambe's last win at Edgar Street came in August 2002, with Steve Guinan one of three players to play in that game that are still with their respective sides. The Shrimps have won only two of eleven visits to Edgar Street, with the Bulls winning five.
The Bulls' head into the weekend with an eleven match unbeaten run to protect, and will be looking for all three points to start off the busy Xmas period. With injuries within the squad abating, Graham Turner only has worries on four of the eight that were missing two weeks ago with several untested players coming through their debuts with flying colours.
Morecambe have struggled for goals all season after losing Danny Carlton in the summer, with just 21 goals from 19 League matches. A tight defence - their only three goal slip-ups have been against the Bulls and Rotherham - has had more than a hand in their mid-table position. Top scorer is midfielder Carl Baker, with five League goals, with Michael Twiss on four - three of those in the last four games.
Hereford United vs Morecambe, Edgar Street, Saturday 22nd December, 3.00pm.
