Turner looks for better results at home

Hereford United manager Graham Turner has said that he is looking for an improvement in his side's home form. The Bulls have two home games, Darlington on Saturday and Mansfield next Tuesday, before taking on Leeds in the FA Cup.

"There are six points at stake (before Leeds) so we have emphasised that to the players," said Turner as reported in the Worcester News.

"It's time we started to string a few home results together. We have got to start winning games if we have ambitions of being up there.

"It's pleasing to look at the league table but it could be so much better. We have got to cash in on all our hard work.

"Darlington are going very well and they won't be far off at the end of the season. They try and pass it and that suits us."

Meanwhile Turner has spoken to BBC Hereford and Worcester in advance of Saturday's game.

"It is a tough week with the three games in seven days, but we have to focus on each game as it comes.

"I know that it's the old cliché that managers always trot out but, if we're going to stay near the top of the table, then we have to take good points from these two home matches.

"Darlington won't be easy - they're flying at the moment, while Mansfield will be a hard game for other reasons - they're at the bottom of the table.
