Mansfield are set to have several players back in contention for Tuesday's trip to Edgar Street with six players returning to training.
Midfielders Nathan Arnold and Matt Hamshaw have both been declared fit for the weekend visit of Macclesfield after the pair came off with injuries during last week's draw at Shrewsbury. Striker John McAliskey is likely to be on the bench for the Silkmen game, with a full return set for Tuesday, along with Jon D'Laryea who has spent seven months on the sidelines.
Forward Chris Wood and veteran defender Martin McIntosh, who had John McCombe as an understudy at Huddersfield, are both back in training but may not be fit enough for either match although full back Jonny Mullins was only given a one match ban for his red card last week and will return to face the Bulls.
Meanwhile manager Billy Dearden has slammed his side's disciplinary record so far this season. The Stags have picked up three red cards so far, with Dearden telling the local press: "My players have got to learn to count to 10 before going into rash tackles or we are going to end up missing key players over the Christmas period. This is the time of year when bookings start to catch up with clubs and you start to miss players."
