Rotherham have signed Sheff Utd midfielder Ian Ross on loan with a view to a permanent deal in January. The 21 year old has previous League Two experience on loan at Bury, Notts County, and Boston but has made only League Cup appearances for the Blades. Bradford's teenage goalkeeper Sam Filler is on trial at Newcastle.
Peterboro are appealing for witnesses after someone set off a firework inside their London Road ground last night during their match with Dagenham. The incident, on the away Moyes Terrace, injured a steward and Police are investigating. Dagenham can't bring in any more players, despite their struggle at the wrong end of the table. Manager John Still admitted: "It's not in our budget. We can't just go out and bring people in."
Exeter have appointed Russell Osman as assistant manager. The former Bristol City and Cardiff boss will stay at the club until January as a favour to manager Paul Tisdale, who was his teammate at Southampton.
