The Hereford United captain, Karl Broadhurst, gave BBC Hereford and Worcester his thoughts on last night's game against Mansfield.
"It was a horrible game really. We didn't perform anywhere near how we can but Mansfield came here full of energy and got about us in the first half.
"But we put away our chances and we can't win pretty every week. Games like this you'll look back at the end of the season and think that was a good three points.
"It was a scrappy win but a win is a win."
Coach John Trewick was reported to have thought it was the worst performance of the season and he's hoping for better on Friday.
"We might have been satisfied with four points from the two games, and then go into the Leeds game and give a very good account of ourselves – and hopefully get a result.
"Obviously, they're favourites, but there's no reason why, if we play very well ourselves, we can't upset the form book.
"First two things done; we've got six points out of six, and you can't do any better than that."
