Out of the FA Cup, out of the Trophy, not doing too well in the League, Yeovil Town appear to have hit a sticky patch.
Currently the Somerset side are 16th in League One and like most clubs where form has dipped, gates have also dropped.
So the club have decided to go out and promote themselves. Firstly with a ticket promotion and secondly with a poster, postcard and e-mail campaign.
They have cut the price of match day tickets by up to three pounds for adults for all their home games in December.
In addition, according to Ciderspace, Yeovil are planning to target 500 pubs and football clubs in both Somerset and Dorest. Some 5,000 personalised postcards will be sent to local supporters and an e-mail campaign is to be launched aimed at the 20,000 registered supporters on their database. They also plan to increase promotion of the club through local press and radio.
Next Sunday Sky are showing their home game against Gillingham. It is expected to be the lowest attendance of the season to date and could be close to their lowest gate since joining the Football League. That was just 4,639 for the visit of Kidderminster back in December 2004.
Yeovil could be on their way back to League Two.
