Brian Carey's reign as manager at Wrexham appears to be all but over after the club announced that they were seeking a 'senior manager' to work with the existing coaching staff.
Carey signed a two year deal in the summer after surviving the threat of relegation but have not improved their fortunes this term, currently lying one place off the bottom of the table with just nine points.
A number of ex-Liverpool names have surfaced on message boards, with Roy Evans, Mark Wright, and John Aldridge all being touted. The club hope to appoint someone before tomorrow's match with Wycombe, with negotiations already ongoing.
