Who will Partner McCombe?

It is often two out of three central defenders are unable to play in a game, but that will be the case next Saturday when Hereford United play Darlington.

Dean Beckwith will miss the game with his jaw injury and captain Karl Broadhurst will miss the game after picking up his fifth yellow card this afternoon at Peterborough. Richard Rose may join John McCombe in the heart of defence next Saturday assuming manger Graham Turner who has hinted at a possible loan signing doesn't find anyone more suitable.

Broadhurst was penalised for a rash challenge and after last weeks red card for Steve Guinan, some supporters were fearing the worst. Also booked were Webb, McCombe and Robinson.

The game itself was a entertaining clash with Posh probably shading the first period and Hereford the second. Possession wise the Bulls were given 55% and Posh 45%.

However Posh had more goal attempts with five on target as opposed to only two for the Bulls.

Clint Easton was awarded an eight for his performance. McCombe, who had another sound game in the heart of defence, Brown, Diagouraga and Taylor all received a seven. Peterborough's Newton also received an eight.

As in previous encounters against the Bulls Aaron Mclean was given quite a lot of justified abuse by Hereford Supporters. He went down, supposedly injured, on numberous occasions only to very quickly return.

After the match several Posh fans spoke or texted Radio Cambridge with their views on the encounter. Few were happy. There were calls for manager Darren Ferguson to go and for various players to move on. And all because Posh had dropped a point.

One spoke about the return of Trevor Benjamin, who didn't have the best of games, to London Road. Suffice it to say it wasn't very complimentary.

The attendance at the game was 5,008 with 285 from Hereford.

With MK Dons losing at home and several results drawn, the Bulls stay in sixth place just six points below the leaders.
