Hereford United defender John McCombe received an eight for his performance at Edgar Street this afternoon. It was the first time he had played a full ninety minutes with captain Karl Broadhurst in the centre of defence.
Several other Bulls players received sevens - Brown, Broadhurst, McClenahan and Smith.
McCombe was brought into the starting eleven to take the place of Dean Beckwith who is expected to be out for five more weeks with his broken jaw.
"John has played very well. He won a lot of good headers. I'm very pleased with his display," said coach John Trewick.
Meanwhile there is speculation that two Championship clubs have been watching the progress of Beckwith recently. Whether one or both will put in an offer for the defender during the transfer window remains to be seen.
