Beckwith To Miss Six Weeks

Dean Beckwith is expected to miss six weeks, as the club confirm that he did indeed break his jaw at Chester.

The official website carries comments from physio Wayne Jones, who says he will stay in non-contact training: "He's not going to have an operation, it's the same healing time whether you have an operation or not, and the specialist felt that the operation wasn't needed.

"He'll be able to return to training shortly, to keep his fitness there, but there won't be any contact for him. He's got another apointment with the specialist in two weeks time, so we'll obviously know more about how he's doing, and when he's likely to be back then."

Early reports that he would be out until Xmas appear to be unfounded, with Beckwith now expected back in action at the start of December.
