Don Richardson has died

One of the Richardson Brothers, Don, died yesterday in his sleep. He was 77.

The Richardson Brothers, through their company, are currently the tenants of Edgar Street with Hereford United being sub-tenants.

Don, with his twin brother Roy, are probably best known for developing the Merryhill shopping center.

They became involved with Hereford United after the Chelverton company, from which Hereford borrowed money, had financial problems.

"Don Richardson was always a man to have at your side and no-one better to have in the trench to fight with you," was one tribute.
