Ward speaks about this afternoon

Cheltenham manager John Ward has spoken about the injury to Michael Wylde this afternoon at Edgar Street.

"The injury to Michael Wylde was pretty serious. He was unconscious on the pitch and it took a long time to look after him. The medical people were absolutely first class and Hereford United have been fantastic in helping us out with those problems but Michael has gone to hospital and we will know more later. Shane Duff didn't lose consciousness but when he stood up he had a little wobble and it was obviously the correct thing to take him out of it. He's also gone to hospital but we're hopeful he's not as serious as Michael. The other centre-back, Michael Townsend, has some ankle ligament damage so we've had a really depressing afternoon and it's been an afternoon to forget."

Ward went on to speak about the game but ended with this:

"Obviously the most important thing is that Michael Wylde is alright and our thoughts are very much with him at the moment."
