Weale only new trialist this afternoon

There were no new trialists for Hereford United on view at Edgar Street other than Chris Weale, the Bristol City goalkeeper, whose appearance had already been anticipated.

Although Weale wasn't seriously tested by Cheltenham he gave the impression that he could fit in well with Hereford United for the next month whilst Wayne Brown recovers from injury.

Both Watford players, Diagouraga and Robinson, were present and surely did enough to warrant loan deals if they can be agreed.

The only other player on show who is still on trial was Kieran Donnelly. He played for around twenty minutes in the second period.

Missing from today's squad were Joey Hutchinson, Simon Johnson and Luke Webb. It is assumed that Hutchinson and Johnson have left Edgar Street. As regards Luke Webb speculation that he may be about to go out on loan has not been confirmed. It is difficult to see where Webb will fit into the squad at present especially if Diagouraga comes to Edgar Street.

Seldom have supporters witnessed a goal keeping coach looking after both teams goalies but that happened today as Pat Mountain works for both clubs.

Finally every Hereford United player wore a new short-sleeved away shirt this afternoon except new signing Trevor Benjamin who preferred a long-sleeved version.
