In an ITV Midlands interview Graham Turner said he would be disappointed if Hereford United do not make the play-offs and Steve Guinan supported the manager's view.
"I'll be disappointed, even given the status of this club compared with some of them in the second division, if we don't make the play-offs," said Turner
"Now we're back in the League I think we can look forward to establishing the club as a League club and hope we can make it to the first division."
Guinan supported this view.
"I think we have to aim for promotion. A realistic target for us is the play-offs.
"I think we have got a good team and a good fan base behind us and we want to move onto the next stage.
"On Saturday's we do get a lot of fans coming from all over the country. The fans make the world of difference. When we go away from home we've a big following of fans from up and down the country. I don't think they realise how much they do to spur the team on. It's vital they come to as many games as possible."
