The Bulls start the 2007/08 season by entertaining Rotherham United for the first time in 15 years.
It will be only the fifth time that the Millers have shared the same division as the Bulls, the last meeting being in April 1992 when a Chris Fry goal gave the Bulls a rare win as Rotherham edged towards promotion.
The Bulls will field a vastly different side to the one that ended last season. Only seven of the sixteen man squad remain from the final day trip to Torquay, with at least ten new faces in the frame for their Bulls debuts on Saturday. Toumani Diagouraga played seven times for Rotherham last season in a loan spell from parent club Watford and is likely to face his old team-mates.
Rotherham also come with new recruits in double figures. Eleven new faces have come in to bolster the relegated side, but financial problems still trouble the club and an immediate return to League One is unlikely. Bulls fans will be familiar with former Accrington midfielder Andy Todd playing twice against the Bulls last season. Goalkeeper Andy Warrington also played for Bury against the Bulls while Dale Tonge played, briefly, with Clint Easton at Gillingham last season.
The referee, Stuart Attwell, is to referee his first ever Football League game. He refereed 13 times in the Conference last season, sending off St Albans' Gary Elphick in his first game last season.
Odds: Bulls 6/4, Draw 9/4, Rotherham 7/4. First Goalscorer: Guinan 11/2, O'Grady 6/1, Benjamin 13/2, Newsham 7/1.
